Chia Bliss Balls
Bliss balls can be a great option for a pre workout snack. Make these in advance and have them on hand for a 3pm energy boost. This recipe can be adapted to include any nuts you have on hand. Fresh dates are best and will make for a more fudgy consistency.
Ingredients
- 200g dates
- 85g chia seeds
- 50g raw almonds
- 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 tbsp. protein powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp. coconut oil
- ¼ cup desiccated coconut
- 2 tbsp. freeze dried berry powder - optional
- Combine dates, chia seeds, raw almonds, cocoa, protein powder and salt in a food processor and blitz until combined. Add a little coconut oil or water if the mix is too dry to form into a ball – this sometimes is the case if the dates were a little dry.
- Roll mix into 3-4cm sized balls and coat with desiccated coconut or berry powder.
Store in airtight container for up to 5 days. Can be refrigerated but the balls will be softer when kept at room temperature.
Enjoy xx
